Birthdate: April 24, 2017

Kathryn was born to a young mother who was HIV positive. One day she was digging in one of the family gardens and got a terrible migraine so she called her husband who was digging in another garden. He immediately took her to the hospital where the migraine continued until she passed away. The father, having other children, was unable to care for Kathryn. She became malnourished and was hungry. Most of the father’s relatives were killed in the Kony war, so he has no close relatives that could help him with Kathryn. Kathryn’s father reached out for help from Sonrise Baby Home. Kathryn is now thriving and doing well!
