Annaliese L
Annaliese and Andrew are siblings who endured a life filled with instability and hardship. Their mother suffers from a severe mental illness, which left her vulnerable to exploitation by different men. As a result, she had four children from unknown fathers. For a time, the children were cared for by their grandmother, but after her passing, their situation grew more desperate.
With no stable home, their mother began wandering from place to place with the children, often spending nights out in the cold. Moved by their condition, a compassionate pastor opened the doors of his church to give them shelter. However, the church was open to the public and not a safe or secure environment for young children.
Recognizing the risk they were in, local council leaders alerted the probation office. In response, authorities intervened. Annaliese and Andrew were placed in the Sonrise Baby Home where they could receive proper care and safety, while their siblings Sarah and Keem were taken to Mirembe Cottage to ensure they too had a stable environment and support.
Annaliese and her brother Andrew have since been moved from the Baby Home and now live at Sonrise Children’s Home, where they will continue to grow, learn, and dream. We pray for a reunification of the siblings at a future date.
