Jordan’s mother was a teenage girl who became pregnant while still in school. The man responsible for the pregnancy abandoned her, disappearing to an unknown location where she couldn’t reach him. Left entirely on her own, she faced the challenges of pregnancy and childbirth without support.

After Jordan was born, his mother entered a new relationship and moved in with her new partner. Sadly, this man did not accept the baby. In a horrifying act, he attempted to feed Jordan paraffin in an effort to harm him. Thankfully, the mother caught him in time and immediately reported the incident. He was arrested and taken into custody.

Determined to build a better future, Jordan’s mother made the courageous decision to return to school. However, with her own mother struggling with mental illness, she had no safe place to leave her son. The probation office stepped in and placed Jordan at Sonrise Baby Home, ensuring his safety while his mother continues her education and works toward a new beginning. Jordan has since moved from the Baby Home and now lives at Sonrise Children’s Home, where he will continue to grow, learn, and dream.
