Meet Manjeri

A Life That Began with Loss, Now Surrounded by Love

Manjeri came into the world under heartbreaking circumstances. Her mother tragically passed away during childbirth, leaving her father suddenly alone, grieving and overwhelmed, with a newborn in his arms and a three-year-old child still needing constant care.

With no support system and the impossible task of working to provide for his family while caring for two young children, Manjeri’s father did something brave: he reached out for help.

He went to the local authorities, who then connected him with the Sonrise Baby Home. There, Manjeri was welcomed with love and compassion. Her older sibling was placed at Mirembe Cottage for Girls, ensuring that both children would be cared for, nurtured, and given a new sense of stability.

At Sonrise Baby Home, Manjeri found not only safety but warmth and affection.

Today, Manjeri has graduated from the Baby Home and now lives at Sonrise Children’s Home, where she will continue to grow, learn, and dream of a brighter future.
